Anniversary Is Closing In

Are we done yet?

Anniversary Week is almost here, and I'm ready to collapse.  I just make all this stuff look easy.  There's finding out what we're gonna do, cutting back room deals, and making the plans & arrangements.  Then there's the graphics, posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and oh yeah email.  

I think I just heard someone in the background say, "Don't forget the webpage!"

Then there's programming the computers to do all this magical stuff.  And since it's been a year since the last Anniversary Week, one can never be 100% sure it's going to work.

Lastly, informing the servers, kitchen & managers too.  Does anyone even read memos anymore?  I read something once, and I truly believe it - "Someday, when I need to hide a dead body, I'm just going to pin it to the staff bulletin board.  No one will ever find it there."

Anniversary week is not all pretty & it ain't easy, but it'll get done... I hope.  Maybe I need to dine on some Lucky Charms cereal.  Yeah, yeah, yeah... that'll help.  Luck will see me through.

.... and do you know WHY?

Because of YOU.  We do all this because of you, our guests and supporters.  Without you, The Buns would have never gotten this far.  Anniversary week is our way of thanking you.  And THAT, my friends, is why all this is so very worth it to me.

Oh, and did I mention that my personal wedding anniversary is immediately following (every year) the Buns' Anniversary Week?
